Job summary

ST. CHARLES HEALTH SYSTEM is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative (Relief) in Bend, OR. The role registers patients for medical services, schedules appointments and handles basic insurance and payment tasks.

It requires a high school diploma or GED and PC/Windows experience, with customer service preferred. The position offers a 15% shift differential in lieu of benefits and requires teamwork, professionalism, and confidentiality across multiple systems during fast-paced admissions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred college courses in medical terminology.
• General/medical office practice experience preferred.
• Must have PC/Windows experience.
• Customer service experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for medical services and schedule as ordered by physicians.
• Provide professional, accurate, and timely service during Admitting functions.
• Assist with insurance selection, eligibility responses, and encounter numbering.
• Work across multiple computer programs and support staff as needed.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles; assist with financial counseling when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies, procedures and PPE requirements.
• Participate in required meetings and training; support continuous improvement efforts.
