Job summary

UCSF Medical Center seeks a Practice Coordinator 2 to strengthen patient-facing operations and support a seamless patient experience across clinics. The role involves handling CRM messages, referrals, and telephone encounters while ensuring accurate information flow among medical staff and departments.

The incumbent will maintain routine clerical tasks, process authorizations and billing, and assist with scheduling and workflow optimization.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; 4 years related experience or college degree with 6 months experience.
• Pass fingerprinting and cash collection approval if applicable.
• Strong computer skills with Outlook, Word and Excel; navigate multiple patient records systems.
• Ability to analyze, prioritize, and develop solutions under deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of medical practice terminology.
• Within six months, supervisor conducts proficiency checklist with the employee.

Responsibilities

• Represent the administrative team as the public face of the Practice and support operations.
• Support CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, and billing tasks.
• Maintain routine clerical operations and communications; adhere to UCSF standards.
• Support scheduling, referrals, and patient flow to maximize unit efficiency.
