Qualifications

• Previous admitting or clerical experience preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely scheduling of Outpatient Imaging and Cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Respond to incoming phone calls and take complete messages.
• Obtain complete orders prior to scheduling and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Create complete Pre-Registration accounts for all scheduled appointments.
• Use scheduling request lists to contact patients and document outcomes.
• Provide patients with preparation instructions, directions, and check-in times.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure scheduling activity continues when out of the office.
• Demonstrate strong communication and phone etiquette with internal and external parties.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain HIPAA compliance.
