Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Outpatient Coding Operations professional to perform complex coding for physician services and support facility coding tasks. The role requires strict adherence to CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines and collaboration with the revenue cycle team.

Qualifications

• Active coding certification (AAPC or AHIMA) required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited coding/HIM program.
• Experience in facility coding or outpatient coding preferred.
• Experience with Epic or similar EHR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for physician services.
• Do entry-level facility coding for outpatient encounters and basic inpatient services.
• Ensure coding adheres to official guidelines and CMS regulations.
• Provide guidance to junior staff when needed.
