Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pathophysiology.
• Advanced proficiency in CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding systems.
• Experience with facility coding for outpatient and inpatient records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complex, specialty-specific professional fee coding for physician services in office and hospital settings.
• Perform entry-level facility coding for simple outpatient encounters and basic inpatient services using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Ensure coding adheres to official guidelines, CMS regulations, and organizational standards.
• Identify need for clinical queries for documentation clarification when necessary.
• Maintain high accuracy and productivity for the workload and deadlines.
