Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pathophysiology.
• Advanced proficiency in CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding systems.
• Experience with facility coding and outpatient/inpatient records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complex CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for physician services in office and hospital settings.
• Provide entry-level facility coding for outpatient encounters and basic inpatient services using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Ensure coding adheres to official guidelines and CMS regulations; identify need for clinical queries when necessary.
• Maintain high accuracy and productivity; mentor new staff as needed.
