Advocate Health is seeking a skilled medical coder to handle professional and facility coding for outpatient and hospital encounters. You will apply CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding with attention to modifiers and E/M rules, working primarily in a remote setting.

The role requires active AAPC or AHIMA certification with dual certifications preferred. Experience with Epic or similar EHRs is a plus, and you will contribute to maintaining compliance and accuracy across coding workflows.

Competenze

• Active coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA required.
• Dual certifications preferred.

Mansioni

• Independently perform complex professional fee coding for physician services (CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM) in office and hospital settings.
• Perform entry-level facility coding for simple outpatient encounters and basic inpatient services using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Ensure coding adheres to official guidelines and CMS regulations.
• Identify need for clinical queries for documentation clarification when necessary.
• Maintain high accuracy and productivity and mentor new staff as needed.
