Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 as part of the Clinical Advancement Program. The role provides comprehensive care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group within a dialysis setting.

The position involves collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, with opportunities for teaching, leadership functions, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
• Performs systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-during-post hemodialysis and documents in the medical record; adjusts treatment plan as indicated.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and treatment.
• Directs and provides safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy with staff collaboration.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Participates in emergency response measures and staff training.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current appropriate state licensure
