Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation under supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians, patient education, adherence to policies, and participation in quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes and facility

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for hemodialysis patients.
• Document data and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and self-care.
• Coordinate tasks with RNs, LVN/LPNs and technicians as needed.
• Administer medications per approved protocols and monitor effectiveness.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in quality improvement activities.
