Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry level Professional Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 role within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group during hemodialysis.

You will monitor patient data, participate in care planning, and collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients during the dialysis process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on hemodialysis.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff including RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.
• Participate in teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and facility operations.
• Document patient data, updates to the nursing assessment, and care plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and document effectiveness.
