Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 position as part of the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients during hemodialysis.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care with the interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and perform tasks under supervision of senior staff and educators.

Qualifications

• RN with a nursing degree and current state licensure.
• Minimum 9 months RN experience; 3 months dialysis experience.
• Entry level for nephrology nursing (less than 2 years) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for assigned patients during hemodialysis.
• Assess, document, and adjust the treatment plan; communicate with the team.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs and plan of care.
• Administer medications per protocol and document effectiveness.
• Lead/supervise patient care staff as Team Leader or in charge role.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and documentation.
