Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is hiring a Maintenance/Construction Technician II for New River State Park. The role involves performing semi-skilled trades, maintaining park facilities and equipment, and working both independently and with teams in custodial, grounds, and construction tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience performing trades in two or more areas (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, auto mechanics).
• Experience in grounds maintenance/landscaping.
• Experience maintaining buildings, facilities and grounds maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and facility maintenance, and/or auto mechanics.
• Operate large and small equipment and tools.
• Purchase resources following state policies and procedures.
• Maintain records and prepare operational forms.
