Genuine Parts Company in New York seeks an Outbound Operations Supervisor to lead pulling and outbound shipping, designing efficient methods for the team and ensuring safe, high-quality execution. You will supervise staff and reinforce engagement and problem-solving across the team.

You will work with DC leadership to resolve shipping issues, drive cost savings, and implement process improvements while maintaining a strong safety culture and team empowerment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years’ experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
• Ability to comply with safety requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift/move heavy items up to 60 lbs.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise outbound operations and instruct staff on tasks.
• Design and maintain truck yard organization and safety.
• Ensure safety rules and cost-saving improvements.
• Lead and coach warehouse associates.
• Investigate and resolve shipping errors with team.
• Schedule team hours for peak periods.
• Ensure proper loading and receipt verification.
• Oversee order processing and Will Call/UPS orders.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
• Foster engagement and empower problem-solving.
• Reconcile nightly truck loads.
• Implement efficient shuttle loading protocols.
• Ensure compliance with factory returns.
