Job summary

GPC is seeking an Outbound Operations Supervisor to lead the outbound team, ensuring efficient pulling, sorting, packing and loading of shipments with safety and quality. The role emphasizes engagement, empowerment, and data-driven improvements across the DC.

You will design methods and supervise staff, driving accuracy and cost efficiency while maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities include supervising processes, coordinating truck yard operations, and mentoring team members

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
• Ability to comply with safety requirements for job functions and DC safety.
• Strong interpersonal and cooperative relationship skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Good judgment to follow detailed instructions.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must lift/move heavy items up to 60 lbs and be forklift/pallet jack certified.

Responsibilities

• Supervise outbound operations and instruct staff on work procedures.
• Design and maintain organized truck yard operations and safety protocols.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Lead warehouse associates and promote engagement and problem-solving.
• Resolve shipping errors with teams to prevent recurrence.
• Schedule team hours for peak periods and efficiency.
• Ensure asset protection and proper receipts during loading.
• Oversee processing of outbound orders (including UPS, Will Call, etc.).
