Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a detail-oriented OS&D Clerk to investigate and resolve overages, shortages and damaged freight, including Hazmat, while coordinating with Service Center Operations and safety teams. You will handle customer inquiries, track shipments, and prepare required paperwork.

The role demands strong MS Office skills, familiarity with OS&D processes, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Boots may be required for on-site tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Must be knowledgeable in general LTL operations; OS&D exp preferred.
• Must wear boots/safety footwear.
• Strong customer services skills and communication.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve all overages, shortages, and damaged freight issues, including Hazmat Materials.
• Identify freight for high value shortages and determine shipment/PRO associations.
• Coordinate with Service Center Operations and other departments.
• Resolve customer queries regarding shipping orders, pricing, etc.
• Maintain records and match receipts to bills of lading; report discrepancies.
• Prepare paperwork and repack OS&D freight.
• Monitor OS&D-related emails and respond as needed.
• Use software tools (e.g., EDock, Customer Portals, Pega).
• Coach and guide junior staff; provide on-the-job training.
