Estes Express is seeking a customer service/clerical specialist to handle high-volume telephone inquiries, billing support, and OS&D paperwork in a fast-paced environment. You will verify bills of lading, schedule freight deliveries, and trace shipments with internal departments to provide proof of delivery.

The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and strong communication with customers and service centers. Candidates should be proficient in MS Word/Excel and able to lift 20 lbs as required.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Experience in billing, collections, tracing & OS&D preferred.
• Computer skills; proficient in MS Word and Excel required.
• AS400 experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good clerical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work regular tasks with occasional direction and refer complex matters to staff.
• Experience in transportation is a plus.
• Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs.

Mansioni

• Answer telephones with a heavy call volume and direct calls with accuracy.
• Maintain count list of items received or shipped and check against bill of lading.
• Prepare all paperwork and repackaging of OS&D freight.
• Maintain accurate records to report OS&D freight issues to management.
• Coordinate delivery times with customers for freight delivery.
• Identify freight bills requiring special delivery instructions.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding bill of lading and provide proof of delivery.
• Address customer complaints and escalate as needed.
• Investigate overages, shortages, and damaged freight issues, including Hazmat.
• Process claims, charges and tracing paperwork.
