Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics in Bloomfield, NJ is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to provide administrative and clinical support within the orthopedic department. You will coordinate patient intake, maintain medical records, and liaise between patients and providers to monitor treatment plans and progress.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in a clinical or administrative orthopedic setting is desirable.
• Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the orthopedic clinic, including patient intake, registration, and medical record maintenance.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and other departments to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
• Manage and maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans, in compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and available for healthcare providers.
• Navigate EMR (CareCloud), locate documents for patient care, assist with patient notes and occasional medical billing.
• Facilitate communication and coordination with external healthcare facilities, such as imaging centers and physical therapy clinics.
• Assist in quality improvement initiatives, participating in audits, data collection, and process improvement activities.
