Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to support the orthopedic department in Union, NJ. The role focuses on administrative and clinical coordination to ensure efficient patient care, acting as the liaison between patients and providers.

Responsibilities include managing records, EMR navigation (CareCloud), and coordinating with external facilities, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree and orthopedic experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Clinical or administrative experience in orthopedics is desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR software.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to collaborate in a team and adapt to priorities.
• Attention to detail in clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the orthopedic clinic, including patient intake, registration, and medical record maintenance.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and other departments to facilitate seamless communication.
• Manage and maintain accurate patient records, including histories, test results, and treatment plans, in compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA).
• Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring documentation is complete and available for providers.
• Navigate CareCloud EMR, locate documents, assist with patient notes, and support with light billing.
• Coordinate with external facilities such as imaging centers and physical therapy clinics.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, data collection, and process improvement.
