Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics in Bloomfield, NJ seeks a Clinical Coordinator to support the orthopedic team and coordinate patient care. Responsibilities include intake, chart prep, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records while acting as a liaison between patients and providers.

The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting at a full-time, on-site clinic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or higher in a related field.
• Experience in a clinical or administrative role within orthopedics is desirable.
• Familiarity with medical records management and EMR systems (HIPAA compliance).
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the orthopedic clinic, including patient intake and record maintenance.
• Serve as liaison between patients, providers, and departments to ensure smooth communication.
• Maintain accurate patient records including histories, tests, and treatment plans in HIPAA-compliant systems.
• Prepare and organize patient charts for healthcare providers.
• Navigate EMR (CareCloud) to locate documents and assist with notes and billing as needed.
• Coordinate with imaging centers and physical therapy clinics.
• Assist in quality improvement initiatives, audits, data collection and process improvement.
