Job summary

Walman Optical, a division of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) in Indianapolis to build strong relationships with customers and labs, manage quotations, orders, and returns, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver superior service.

You will use MS Office to retrieve and update customer and order data, resolve issues, and support monthly auto-kit mailings while upholding HIPAA and internal policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in customer service, hospitality or call center.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to maintain composure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Basic PC skills including MS Office; Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive requests for price quotations, orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations from customers and labs.
• Build rapport with customers and provide the best possible service.
• Sort and repackage overstock and defective items for returns to vendors with proper documentation.
• Assist in assembly and packaging for monthly auto-kit mailings and maintain distribution lists.
• Use a PC to retrieve customer and stock information and update orders.
• Work with vendors to check order status and delivery information.
• Troubleshoot problems or questions from coworkers and customers.
• Understand and communicate company policies and promotions.
