Walman Optical in Rockford, IL is seeking a Full-Time Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) to build relationships with customers and vendors, process quotes, orders, returns and purchase orders, and coordinate with other departments for superior service.

You’ll use a PC to access order and stock data, assist with lens/frames repackaging, and ensure accurate documentation. The role emphasizes accuracy, courtesy, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ year in customer service, hospitality, or call center
• Excellent telephone etiquette and composure with customers
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic PC skills including Word and Excel
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Aufgaben

• Receive requests for price quotations, orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations from customers and labs
• Build rapport with customers and provide the best possible service
• Sort, clean, and repack overstock and defective lenses, frames, and accessories for returns
• Assist in assembling and packaging frames for monthly auto-kit mailings
• Use a PC to retrieve customer and stock information and update orders accurately
• Coordinate with vendors for order status and delivery information
• Troubleshoot problems or questions from coworkers and customers
• Explain company policies, promotions, and negotiate professionally
• Distribute mail and perform mid-day backups and end-of-day close-outs
• Cross-train and learn other department duties as needed
• Maintain a neat and organized work area
• Follow HIPAA and policy guidelines and ensure confidentiality
• Provide guidance to less experienced coworkers and attend training sessions
• Perform other duties as assigned
