Job summary

Motion Industries in Farmington, NM is seeking a Customer Service Representative who under close supervision fulfills customer orders and handles incoming calls, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

You will respond to product inquiries, provide quotes, process orders by phone, fax, email or in person, and collaborate with account representatives to maximize customer satisfaction and branch efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required with 0–3 years of related experience.
• Experience in customer service or order entry is a plus.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products and provides quotes.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in.
• Negotiates sale and purchase prices within parameters to influence gross profit.
• Adjusts non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business.
• Ensures inventory levels are adequate by ordering items.
• Determines most cost-effective shipping method for orders.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders and prepares shipments.
• Handles customer returns when applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
