Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work under close supervision. You will accurately fulfill customer orders and manage incoming calls, ensuring timely, error-free processing and strong customer rapport.

Responsibilities include answering product questions, generating quotes, placing orders by phone, fax, email, or counter sales; negotiating prices within guidelines; maintaining inventory awareness; and collaborating with Account Representatives to maximize

• Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.
• Ability to multi-task and time management skills required.
• Moderate computer skills, including information processing, emailing, and using business systems to find products.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within established parameters.
• May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Orders items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without additional approval.
• Responsible for sourcing products in branch, distribution center, or supplier inventory.
• Determines the most cost-effective shipping method for orders.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders and may prepare shipments to customers.
• May handle customer returns.
