Job summary

Motion Industries in the United States seeks a Customer Service Representative who under close supervision fulfills customer orders and handles incoming calls. You will quote products, enter orders by phone, fax, email, or walk-in, and help maintain inventory to meet customer needs.

You will influence gross profit by negotiating prices within parameters, adjust non-contract pricing as needed, and build relationships to drive repeat business.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and 0–3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Reliability, organization and attention to detail are required.
• Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Moderate computer skills including information processing via email and searching capabilities to find products online.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and drive process improvements.
• Orders items to maintain inventory levels for customers.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Sourcing products in branch inventory, distribution center inventory or supplier inventory.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders and may pull inventory for shipment.
• May handle customer returns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
