Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 0–3 years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.
• Moderate computer skills, including information processing and using business systems to find products on the internet.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Placing customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit through negotiating sale and purchase prices within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing MI profit.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels by ordering items as needed.
• Determine cost effective shipping methods for customer orders.
• Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedite backorders and handle inventory for shipment to customers.
• May pull inventory and prepare orders for shipment; handle returns as needed.
