Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group, in North Carolina, seeks a Doctor Technician to be the first touchpoint in our store, delivering outstanding patient experiences and guiding them through our clinical-to-retail flow.

You will schedule appointments, answer inquiries, maintain patient records per HIPAA, and collaborate with PEG clinicians to meet store goals. Prior optical or customer-service experience preferred; associate degree or higher is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or advanced certification beyond a high school diploma; or currently enrolled in a comparable program.
• 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients and/or customers.
• Strong communication skills with a diverse group of people.
• Passion for customer satisfaction and a positive demeanor.
• Proactive problem solving to address patient concerns or rebuttals.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding patient experience, collaborating with other team members to accomplish store goals, clinical metrics and initiatives.
• Greet patients, identify needs, and provide information about products and services.
• Answer inquiries and gather necessary information to ensure a positive experience.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Assist with patient complaint resolution and inform status of pending orders.
• Maintain patient records confidential and secure per HIPAA requirements.
