Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements to prep patients for exams. Training is provided to learn pretest equipment and visual screenings, with weekend/evening shifts possible.

You will collaborate with the doctor and team to ensure a smooth patient flow and a first-rate eye-care experience for every patient. Prior healthcare or optical background is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with optometrist.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for the exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during the visit.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training where applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
