Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry, helping prepare patients for exams with preliminary testing and measurements. You will learn pretest equipment and perform vision screenings to ensure a smooth, patient-centered experience.

No optical experience? Training will be provided. Weekend and evening shifts may be required. This role offers growth through role-specific training and eligibility for vision coverage and product discounts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to comfort patients.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry.
• Team player with focus on patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
