Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements to prepare patients for their visits.

Training will be provided for those without optical experience, with some weekend and evening shifts required. You will assist with pretest equipment, chart medical history, and help ensure a smooth patient flow while maintaining comfort and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to understand basic math is expected.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with clinicians to provide a seamless patient experience.
