Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary testing, and learning pretest equipment. Training is provided, and some weekend/evening shifts are required.

Responsibilities include documenting medical history, ensuring patient comfort, and coordinating flow between front desk and doctors to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic math skills preferred.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening process.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry; training will be provided.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure a seamless experience.
