Job summary

MyEyeDr. is looking for an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements to prepare patients for exams. You’ll assist with pretest tasks, train in visual screenings, and help ensure a smooth patient flow while delivering a best-in-class experience.

No optical experience? Training will be provided; weekend/evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient care. Join a collaborative team focused on helping patients see their best.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the optical industry, products, and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and complaints for pre-exam prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during exams.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and perform preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
