Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. Training will be provided to learn about the industry and pretest equipment used for visual screenings prior to the exam.

You will assist during visits, ensure patient comfort, and collaborate with the team to deliver a best-in-class patient experience. Weekend and evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Candidate should be personable and patient.
• Ability to understand and perform basic math.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with the optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for the exam prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures they will be exposed to.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings before the exam.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
