Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient preparation. No optical experience is required, as training will be provided to learn pretest procedures and equipment.

You will help ensure a smooth flow of patients, assist in exam preparation, and contribute to an exceptional patient experience. Weekend/evening shifts may be required as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• The candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and can do basic math.
• Personable and patient, with the ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willing to learn about optical industry, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for exams.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they'll experience.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
