Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training and tools are provided, no optical experience needed.

Weekend and evening shifts may be required as part of a collaborative team focused on delivering a best-in-class patient experience. You will learn to use pretest equipment, assist with patient screenings, and participate in contact lens training where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic math skills.
• Personable and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented with ability to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn industry terms, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Greet and consult with patients, document medical history and prepare for optometrist exam.
• Keep patient flow smooth between front desk and Doctor during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they'll undergo.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training to applicable patients and perform preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
