Job summary

AEG Vision seeks an Optometric Technician to support doctors, perform pre-testing, and ensure efficient, high-quality patient experiences. You’ll conduct preliminary testing, manage referrals, and help keep patient records accurate and HIPAA-compliant.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before exams and assist with tests (dilation, topicals, imaging, visual acuity).
• Schedule referrals and manage patient appointments with HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain patient records and accurate CPT coding and billing support.
• Support doctors, handle callins and patient education, and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with end-of-day checklist, inventory, and frame/display organization.
