Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and deliver high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-exam evaluations, assist with diagnostics, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to create an efficient, patient-centered experience.

You will document findings in EHR, handle clinical duties, and contribute to a team that prioritizes accuracy, education, and compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams or dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Industry certifications such as CPO, CPOA or CPOT are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
• Perform diagnostic testing with specialty equipment (OCT, visual field, pachymetry, retinal camera).
• Document medical findings in EHR and assist with related clerical duties.
• Ensure maximum schedule utilization via pre- and post-appointment confirmations.
