Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and oversee pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and documentation. You will help schedule patient visits, ensure accurate medical records, and assist with patient education to deliver a high-quality experience from check-in to check-out.

The role emphasizes teamwork, HIPAA compliance, and efficient clinic operations, with full-time on-site work and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-testing procedures and assists with specialty diagnostic testing under the optometrist.
• Manages the doctor's appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Records and maintains patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other policies.
• Responds to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment as needed.
• Performs diagnostic testing using equipment such as OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, and Retinal Camera.
• Acts as a scribe for the Optometrist or assists with refractive tasks when required.
• Performs other duties within the practice as requested.
