Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists with pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and patient education to ensure an exceptional care experience. You will help with scheduling, documentation, and post-exam tasks, contributing to efficient patient flow and high-quality visits.

You will work on-site in a patient-centric environment, leveraging your knowledge of eye care terminology and CPT codes while maintaining accurate electronic health records and providing compassionate

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Document medical findings in EHR and assist with related clerical duties.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
