Job summary

AEG seeks an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists, conduct pre‑testing, and assist with diagnostic procedures to ensure high‑quality patient care. You’ll help manage schedules and maintain accurate medical records, contributing to a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification such as CPO/CPOA/CPOT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary patient evaluations prior to exam by the optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post‑exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient flow.
• Record and maintain patient files in compliance with HIPAA.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
