Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists, conduct pre-testing, and help manage patient care from check-in to check-out. You will assist with diagnostic testing, education, and scheduling to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic environment. On-site position with benefits and full-time hours; remote work is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care and treatment.
• Industry certification such as CPO, CPOA, CPOT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam (dilation, topicals, diagnostic tests).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Schedule and manage doctor appointments to ensure efficient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EHR and HIPAA-compliant systems.
