Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to assist Optometrists in patient care and education. You will conduct pre-testing, support specialty diagnostic tests, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience from check-in to checkout.

This role involves documenting findings in EHR, communicating with patients, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA while supporting a collaborative eye-care team in a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilations, topicals, testing).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient, high-quality experiences.
