Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our eye care team on-site. You will support Optometrists with pre-testing, educational patient interactions, scheduling, and maintaining accurate patient records.

You will conduct preliminary procedures, assist with diagnostic testing such as OCT and fundus imaging, and help ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience from check-in to check-out.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Schedule referrals and manage doctor’s appointment calendar.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and related policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• Support clerical duties related to medical documentation and billing codes.
