Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists by performing pre‑testing and educational activities, ensuring each patient receives an efficient, high‑quality experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities include pre‑exams, diagnostic testing, scheduling referrals, maintaining records in EHR, and assisting with clerical tasks while upholding HIPAA compliance. Part-time on-site role with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (e.g., dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post‑exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient, high‑quality patient care.
