Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support ophthalmologists and provide outstanding patient care on-site. You will perform pre-testing, assist with specialized diagnostics, and help manage appointments to ensure an efficient patient flow.

The role requires familiarity with eye care terminology, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment. Part-time, on-site position with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Assist Optometrists with patient care and education to ensure efficient, high-quality experiences.
• Conduct pre-testing procedures and support diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor appointment schedules and post-exam tasks in EHR systems (HIPAA compliant).
• Record and maintain patient records securely and process related paperwork.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups as needed.
• Ensure proper end-of-day wrap-up and clinic readiness for next day.
