Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a detailed Optometric Technician to support optometrists in delivering exceptional patient care and education. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth, high‑quality patient experience from start to finish.

The role requires collaboration with the team, familiarity with medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance. Industry certifications are a plus, and the position is on site with full‑time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting optometrists and patient care teams.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and privacy practices.
• Experience with eye exam dispensing or medications is a plus.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment scheduling to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Record patient information in EHR and maintain HIPAA compliant files.
• Support clerical duties, including CPT codes and billing for post‑op visits.
