Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and educate patients while ensuring a high-quality experience from start to finish. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostics, and help manage scheduling and records in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires eye-care experience, medical terminology familiarity, and HIPAA awareness. On-site work with full-time hours, benefits included.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and related procedures.
• Familiarity with eye treatment medical terminology and HIPAA.
• Industry certification: CPO, CPOA or CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with patient communications regarding medications and care instructions.
• May perform scribe duties or refractions as needed.
