Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and post-exam tasks alongside Optometrists. You will help manage appointment schedules and ensure a high-quality patient experience from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities include performing preliminary evaluations, documenting findings in the EHR, and assisting with referrals and paperwork while maintaining HIPAA compliance. A supportive team culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists with patient care and education.
• Conduct pre-testing procedures and assist with diagnostic testing.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Record medical findings in EHR and assist with related documentation.
• Perform end-of-day tasks and keep the practice clean and organized.
