Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists, handle pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and manage appointment schedules to ensure efficient, high‑quality patient care from start to finish.

You will perform preliminary evaluations, document medical findings in EHR, assist with clerical duties, schedule referrals, and help with contact lens programs, with HIPAA compliance and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Experience maintaining patient records per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Assist Optometrist with pre-testing and diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor appointment schedules for efficiency.
• Record and update patient information in EHR.
• Coordinate referrals and paperwork.
• Support post-exam tasks and patient education.
