Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists in delivering high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic procedures, and help manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure an efficient and smooth patient experience.

The role requires familiarity with eye care terminology, experience handling patient records per HIPAA, and relevant certifications (CPO, CPOA, CPOT) are preferred. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with eye treatment medical terms.
• Experience maintaining patient records per HIPAA.
• Industry certification: CPO, CPOA or CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-testing and specialty diagnostic testing alongside Optometrists.
• Manage doctor appointment schedules for efficient patient flow.
• Document findings in Electronic Health Records and handle related paperwork.
• Respond to patient inquiries and schedule referrals when needed.
• Support end-of-day tasks and maintain a clean, organized practice area.
