Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams with preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided, no prior optical experience required, and you will learn about a field that helps people see their best lives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
• Willingness to learn about optics and industry.
• Collaborative team player to support doctors and staff.
• Prior healthcare/optical background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
